Why do we bother?

Inhabiting the title of a good musician means embracing multiple roles within ourselves. We must become painters, using colors to express the emotions that affect our bodies. We must be actors, embodying characters as if we were performing on stage. We must be explorers, immersing ourselves in nature, absorbing the sounds around us, and embracing the atmosphere. Each practice serves as a raw and authentic reflection of ourselves in front of a mirror. One must be true to themselves, delving deep into their identities and expressing them through music.

Humans are inherently social beings, and true happiness lies in surrounding ourselves with good people with whom we can share and grow. We invite others to listen to our stories, reminding them of what it is about art that makes us feel alive. What is the magic that draws us back to it time, and again? I always strive to remain true to my values, acting with curiosity, gratitude, and sincerity.

"The heaviest of burdens is therefore simultaneously an image of life's most intense fulfillment." - The Unbearable Lightness of Being Life is a riddle, it can punch you in the face one moment and reveal the most beautiful sights imaginable the next. Art and human experiences are inseparable; without our life experiences, interactions, exposure to great literature, and appreciation for all forms of art, life loses its meaning. Kitsch, often dismissed as superficial, can also capture profound emotions and reflect our collective experiences. The lens through which you view the world is shaped by your artistic perspective, revealing both the lightness and heaviness of being.

After watching Maria João Pires’s interview, I was inspired by her emphasis on hope as a vital driving force in creativity. Hope encourages us to pursue our passions, navigate challenges, and serves as a reminds us that creativity is a reflection of our inner lives and lived experiences. Talent alone is not enough-it must be paired with the courage to explore, take risks, and remain open to the world around us. This approach fuels personal growth and transformation.
